about Patricia Tschetter
Patricia began her jewelry career in 1998 after having been a Marriage and Family Therapist. After taking classes at the Craft Guild of Dallas, she went on to take workshops from various teachers at The Revere Academy in San Francisco, through the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, and others. Her most influential teacher has been Jean Stark from whom she learned granulation. Patricia has been a Niche finalist in 2005, 2009 and a Niche winner in 2010 and 2011. The World Gold Council chose Patricia's work for their 2009 campaign. Her work was displayed and publlished in the WGC’s booth at the JCK show and publication in "New Trends in Gold" catalogue. The American Jewelry Design Council recognized her as the runner-up in the 2009 New Talent Competition at the 2009 Summer JA show in New York. Her work has been featured in Modern Jeweler, National Jeweler, Niche, Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist, Ornament, JCK Style, Couture International Jeweler, Metalsmith and Art Jewelry Magazine. She has published articles on Keum-boo and Granulation for Art Jewelry and Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist magazines, respectively. Patricia has two pairs of earrings in 500 Earrings: New Directions in Contemporary Jewelry (Lark Books, 2007) and 2 pieces appear in 500 Gemstone Jewels (Lark Books, 2010). Her work is carried by galleries nation-wide, and she has exhibited around the country. Patricia lives and works in Dallas, Texas with her husband, Bob, and two dogs, Rufus and Lucy.
